Members Newsletter - June 2022 II

Dear CLT Members

This Thursday, 30 June is both the date of our ACLT AGM, and the expiry date for consultation responses through the Esquire Developments website:

ACLT AGM in Green Room (First Floor, front) The Victoria Institute, 10 Tarrant Street BN18 9DG, 7pm

We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it on Thursday.

Formal votes will be taken to adopt the Accounts to 31 March 2022 and Elect Directors.

If you cannot attend, I attach a Proxy Form which must be completed and return by mid-day on Thursday, 30 June:  to our registered office at Arundel Town Hall, or direct to the Secretary’s address, 30 Maltravers St, BN18 9BU.

We have received four Nominations for Directors. The forms completed by the candidates will be available on Thursday and candidates will be invited to speak and answer questions.

Public consultation on development off Ford Road – ACLT’s first project to bring truly affordable housing to Arundel

It was good to see those of you who came to Esquire’s public consultation Exhibition and our meeting about the development off Ford Road earlier in the month.

If you have not yet taken a look at the proposals, you can find them on the first June Newsletter.

We hope ACLT members will use your love and understanding of Arundel to comment on:

  • Welcome increase of Affordable Housing, especially the Social Rent levels for the rented homes and the Local Lettings Policies for both rented and shared ownership homes
  • Any views you might have on the proposal to group all the affordable homes in one part of the site – this is something the CLT Directors will be considering further this week and report back at the AGM on Thursday
  • Your views on other aspects of the proposals – quality; public realm; access; whatever is important and of interest to  you.

Best wishes

Hilary Knight
Secretary, Arundel CLT
